🇫🇷 Roland Garros (May 24-June 7, 2026): Ace Royal
History:
The French Open, played on red clay in Paris, showcases endurance, elegance, and artistry. No French cocktail would be complete without a splash of Champagne. The Ace Royal, seen at the Roland Garros tournament, is bubbly, herbaceous and refreshing — greenish hue from the muddled basil is a nod to a tennis ball. It a bit of a faux pas to drink in the stands during the French Open —most attendees (the locals, at least) finish their drinks in the main dining area.
Signature Cocktail: Ace Royal
The summery spritz, which was crafted specifically for the event, has been served at the French Open since at least 2012, according to the blog Make Me a Cocktail.
Ingredients:
1 oz. simple syrup
1 oz. lime juice
5 basil leaves
2 slices of cucumber, thinly sliced
Splash of Champagne
How to make it:
Muddle basil leaves, simple syrup and lime juice in a bulbous spritz glass.
Add sliced cucumber; stir to combine.
Top off with chilled Champagne.
🏆 Wimbledon (June 29–July 12, 2026): The Pimm’s Cup
History:
Held in London since 1877, Wimbledon is the oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the world. It’s known for royal pageantry, all-white attire, and a glass of Pimm’s.
Signature Cocktail: Pimm’s Cup
A light, botanical drink perfect for English summer.
Ingredients:
2 oz Pimm’s No. 1
4 oz lemonade (or lemon-lime soda for fizz)
Cucumber, strawberries, mint, orange slices
Ice
Mint sprig for garnish
How to Make it:
In a tall glass filled with ice, pour Pimm’s and lemonade. Stir gently and garnish generously with fruit and mint. Serve chilled while watching Centre Court action.
🇺🇸 US Open (August 23–Sept 13, 2026): The Honey Deuce
History:
Held in New York City at the end of summer, the US Open is fast, flashy, and full of energy. The official cocktail—the Honey Deuce—has become a fan-favorite thanks to its refreshing citrus-berry flavor and tennis-ball garnish.
Signature Cocktail: Honey Deuce
An iconic Grand Slam drink with a nod to the scoreboard.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 oz Grey Goose Vodka
3 oz fresh lemonade
1/2 oz Chambord (raspberry liqueur)
Crushed ice
Frozen honeydew melon balls for garnish
How to Make:
Fill a chilled highball glass with crushed ice. Add vodka and lemonade. Stir gently. Float Chambord on top. Garnish with melon balls that resemble mini tennis balls. Enjoy with a night match on Ashe.
